From 1955 to 2011, Kilmour operated a Mitre10 hardware store at 275 Murray Street, Colac, under the trading name H.R Stephens Pty Ltd.  During that time, adjacent properties were also acquired to consolidate the site, paving the way for a major redevelopment in 2008.  In 2011, the hardware business was sold to Mitre10 who retained the tenancy.

The site fronts the main road in Colac and comprises a retail area of 1900m2, a trade area of 1150m2, car parking for up to 46 vehicles and vacant land of 750m2.

The property continues to be owned by Kilmour Investments as a mixed-use retail/commercial property investment.
